After reports surfaced that former child star Tylor Chase had been placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold and was set to enter rehab, it was later revealed that he was released and is allegedly back on the streets of California.
The Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide alum was evaluated by a health crisis team and placed on a 72-hour hold around Christmas Day, but according to TMZ, advocate and fellow former child actor Shaun Weiss said Chase was inexplicably released without being transferred to a detox facility that had already been arranged. Weiss claims Chase was later found back on the street, reportedly using meth during a second evaluation and lacking basic clothing in cold conditions. Despite continued efforts by Weiss and others to secure treatment through Eleven 11 Recovery, Chase must agree to rehab voluntarily. Former co-star Daniel Curtis Lee also shared a distressing update, stating that after helping Chase into a hotel for Christmas, the actor allegedly caused significant damage and left, reinforcing concerns that temporary housing solutions have not been effective.
